Many Eastern European young professionals seek a career, a better life or just adventure in Western Europe. Daniel Mester is one of the young Eastern European professional musicians, who are settled down in Amsterdam, one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan, cultural capitals. He is a saxophonist, a guitarist and a composer. I’ve had the chance to follow him for four days, visit him at his home, at his teaching job, saw him giving a private music lesson and of course, saw him performing jazz and rock in a live concert. This series is about him, about the everyday life of a young musician in the Netherlands.
This is an editorial photo series, a documentary photo story of immigration and integration in Western Europe of an Eastern European intellectual. A jazz musician who has studied and worked in the Netherlands, mostly in Amsterdam. I do similar photo stories on commission, please contact me for details or use online booking.
