The popularity of street food is everywhere, you can find food trucks next to public buildings and practically all community spaces throughout Europe, from playgrounds to tourist landmarks. Amsterdam is of course no exception.

The Dutch even organize specific festivals for the showcase of food trucks, usually weekends of feast where you can try the best of Amsterdam’s street food at one place.

From burgers to tacos, from beer to the finest cocktails, the place is a goldmine if you’re into messy plates, plastic glasses and cutlery.

The beauty of it is the variety and the surprisingly good quality of the food and drinks served, an experience you never thought would be possible when eating from a paper bag. 🙂
